Written by Gengras Chrysler Dodge Jeep

Over the last decade, the RAM 1500 has been the top-rated truck in the country thanks to its amazing mix of powerful engines, comfortable materials, and tech and performance-enhanced features. The Ram 1500 can also haul a ton of material whether you need to tow it or haul it. In 2021, the Ram 1500 is heading to amazing new heights thanks to many optional tech features. These include a driver head-up display, an available digital rearview mirror, new performance and off-road readouts via the 12-inch touchscreen, and a trailer reverse control system which can steer the truck as you direct the trailer into a parking spot. This year also sees the new TRX trim, which comes with a supercharged V8 engine and a ton of performance-enhanced features. Seven trims are available for the Ram 1500. Continue reading as we go over each one of them!

Starting off the Ram 1500 trim lineup is the Tradesman. It comes with several engine options, which are some of the most powerful on the market. Standard is a 3.6-liter V6 engine that rips out 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes with Ram's eTorque system, which improves the fuel economy and the engine's stop and start smoothness. You have the option of two available engines, with the first being a 5.7-liter V8 coming with a stout 395 horsepower and a wonderful 410 lb-ft of torque, and the second being a diesel-powered and turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 pumping out 260 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque. All of these engines pair with a smooth eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive, with four-wheel-drive available. Features for the Tradesman include 18-inch steel wheels, a 5-inch touchscreen, air conditioning, trailer sway damping, and a six-speaker stereo.
