Dodge Durango Available in East Hartford

Dodge has updated the mid-sized Durango over the years and 2026 is no exception. The latest SUV models feature state-of-the-art infotainment systems and other amenities. Though smaller, the Durango offers full-size SUV capabilities but maneuvers as easily as a smaller vehicle.

Design

The Durango is available in the SXT, the GT, the Citadel, the R/T and the SRT trim levels along with a choice of 10 different body colors. All of the models are more aggressive and athletic-looking on the outside. Smooth curves and clean lines entice the eye around the exterior.

The front end now features LED headlights and an enlarged cross-hair grill that comes with chrome or body color embellishments. The rear of the vehicle features a wider tailgate and LED red taillights. The 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels are standard, but 19- or 20-inch wheels are an option. Other standard features include a hands-free, powered liftgate and sunroof. When towing, there is even a class IV hitch receiver option.

Certain trim models also offer optional appearance packages. The Blacktop package is available on the R/T and features 20-inch black wheels, glossy black side mirrors and black badges. The GT and R/T trims offer the Brass Monkey package that includes 20-inch bronzed wheels and glossy black badges.

The Anodized Platinum package is available on the SXT Plus and the Citadel models. The SXT gains black roof rails, platinum badges, platinum fog light bezels and platinum front and rear body fascias along with a platinum grille. The package on the Citadel additionally offers leather-trimmed bucket seats, ventilated front seats, platinum door handles, platinum interior accents and a platinum-wrapped instrument panel.

The two-row seat versions easily accommodate up to five adults. However, add a third row of seats in the base model and increase the passenger capacity to seven. Three rows of seats are standard in all of the other trim levels. Or, convert the second row into two captain's chairs.

Leather seats are standard on all trim levels. Behind the third-row seats, there is 17.2-cubic-feet of cargo space. Fold down the third row for 43.3-cubic-feet of room. With the second and third-row seats folded, Hartford owners have 85.1-cubic-feet of space. The front passenger seat also folds flat when needing to carry extra-long items.

Performance

The base models come standard with a 3.6-liter, six-cylinder engine that delivers up to 295 horsepower. All of the vehicles also have an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel-drive. SUVs with the powertrain have an EPA rating of 19 miles per gallon in the city and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. The vehicle also easily tows up to 6,200 pounds around Manchester, CT.

When desiring more power, the Durango may be equipped with one of two different eight-cylinder engines. The 5.7-liter version delivers up to 360 horsepower and is standard on the R/T. The EPA rating is 14 miles per gallon in town and 22 miles per gallon on the open road. Models equipped with the smaller V8 haul up to 7,400 pounds.

The SRT comes with a 6.4-liter version that provides up to 475-horsepower. When equipped with the larger engine, the Durango tows up to 8,700 pounds, which is impressive for a vehicle of the Durango's size.

Safety

Safety features begin with the frame and cabin cage, which are constructed using heavy-duty steel. The rearview camera comes standard on all models. Optional add-ons that are also available in higher trim levels include automatic high beams, rain-detecting windshield wipers, adaptive cruise control and a blind spot monitoring system and lane-keeping warning systems.
